Singapore Insurance Case Competition (SICC)
The General Insurance Association of Singapore (GIA Singapore), in partnership with the Nanyang Technological University Singapore Actuarial Science Club, announces the Singapore Insurance Case Competition (SICC) 2024. This year’s competition is sponsored by Chubb Singapore and MSIG Singapore, two of Asia’s leading general insurance companies.
Why should I join the Singapore Insurance Case Competition?
The SICC 2024 stands as a unique opportunity for students to engage in real-world business problems, offering a platform to distinguish their resumes and portfolios. Participants are tasked with developing business and marketing proposals that have the potential to be adopted by key players in the insurance industry, thus contributing tangibly to the sector’s evolution.
Who can participate in the SICC?
The SICC is open to university and polytechnic students from all disciplines across Singapore to showcase their strategic and innovative abilities.
How many members in a team and what are the prizes?
Teams of 3 to 4 members are encouraged to sign up for this nation-wide competition by January 16, 2024. The competition boasts an attractive prize pool, with the first-place team winning S$5,000, second place S$3,000, and third place S$2,000.
What are the themes available in the Singapore Insurance Case Competition?
Teams will be able to choose to compete in one of the two themes available:
i. Branding & Marketing
ii. Digitalization & Transformation
What is the timeline for SICC?
- 3 Jan: Registration opens
- 16 Jan: Registration closes
- 17 Jan: Release of case
- 17 Jan: Case workshop
- 23 Jan: Case submission
- 2 Feb: Final presentation
