SII.MII Run: One Planet, One Chance
The Singapore Insurance Institute (SII) and The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) are jointly organising the SIIā¢MII Run: One Planet, One Chance. The running period will be from 21 March to 3 April 2022.
Global greenhouse gas emissions must come down 45% by 2030 and reach net zero around 2050. This is needed to keep global warming to within 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels to avoid the most severe effects of climate change.
The future of generations to come will be determined by how the world responds to the climate challenge today and the insurance industry holds a key role in the fight against climate change.
Hence, the Singapore Insurance Institute and The Malaysian Insurance Institute are co-organising this virtual run event āOne Planet, One Chanceā to demonstrate their commitment to building a sustainable future.
Get into the spirit to cut down your carbon footprint and run for a greener future. Open to all and suitable for both beginners and experienced runners, choose from either the 5km or 10km challenge.
For insurance professionals, sign up before 14 March to be allocated a team made up of surprise teammates for more networking opportunities.
Stand a chance to win attractive lucky draw prizes and special rewards, too!

The MII & Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) is launching a mangrove re-planting campaign at Kuala Selangor Nature Park (KSNP). The 10-acres area has been degraded and approximately 40,000 trees need to be planted. This number of trees will be able to sequester approximately 6,600kg per year of carbon dioxide, playing a great role in reducing the impact of greenhouse gases.
