SMA 2025: Honouring the Best Insurance Agency Leaders in Singapore

The Financial Services Managers’ Association (FSMA) marked a major milestone this year with the 20th edition of the Singapore Management Awards (SMA). Held on 15 August 2025, the event brought together leaders, achievers, and partners from across the financial services industry to celebrate excellence, dedication, and the spirit of leadership in agency management.

Honouring Excellence in Financial Services

This year, 207 awardees across various categories and seven Master Recipients were recognised for their achievements. Despite industry challenges, these leaders demonstrated resilience, commitment, and the drive to excel — setting new benchmarks for leadership in agency management.

FSMA President Leonard Chen reminded the audience that SMA is about more than accolades. It represents the values that define great leadership: lifting others, shaping teams, and making a difference in the lives of clients, advisers, and communities.

A Historic First: Senior Master Recipients

SMA 2025 also introduced a brand-new milestone: the Senior Master Recipient category. The SMA Senior Master Recipient is a one-time recognition for agency leaders who have achieved a minimum of 20 SMA Management for Excellence Awards (MEA). This recognition reflects sustained excellence and consistency over two decades, a truly remarkable achievement.

The four inaugural Senior Master Recipients are:

• Winnie Cheah
• Lee Pey Der Peter
• Victor Lim Wee Teik
• Eric Seah Sheau Ming

Their dedication and professionalism stands as an inspiration to the entire industry.

More Than Just Awards

While trophies and recognition were highlights of the evening, the event carried a deeper message. As SMA 2025 Chairperson Royce Goh put it, “Tonight is about more than awards. It’s about the friendships, the shared journey, and the collective spirit that drives our industry forward.”
