Singapore Insurance Institute elects 2022/23 council members

The Singapore Insurance Institute (SII) has announced the appointment of its Council for the 2022/23 term following their election at the SII 48th Annual General Meeting.

The SII Council Members are:

President: Ms Jeslyn Tan (Crawford & Company)

Vice President: Mr Verma Sunny (FM Global)

Treasurer: Ms Wina Marita (Matson Driscoll & Damico)

Immediate Past President: Ms Jeanette Lim (Chubb Asia Pacific)

Council Members:

• Ms Summer Montague (DAC Beachcroft)
• Ms Tay Si Wei (Berkley Re Asia)
• Mr Jeremy Dam (Chubb Asia Pacific)
• Mr Benjamin Ang (GoalsMapper)

Co-Opted Council Member: Mr Suang Wijaya (Eugene Thuraisingnam LLP)

Ms Jeslyn Tan, SII President, said: “It is a privilege to be elected SII President for a third term to serve the insurance and financial services industry. I would like to thank the past Council for their contribution in a challenging environment due to the pandemic and having to adapt to the safe management measures.

“To the newly elected Council, congratulations and thank you for volunteering your time and resources for the Institute and promoting professionalism in the industry. After a hiatus of two years, we look forward to organising more in-person events for our members to ‘Inspire, Educate and Connect’.”

The SII 48th AGM was held on 27 June 2022.

On 27 July, SII members and partners from some 18 insurance organisations planted 50 trees at Kranji-Woodlands Nature Way to support the nationwide OneMillionTrees movement through the Garden City Fund’s Plant-A-Tree programme. The tree planting activity was attended by Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for National Development.
