MDRT appoints Carol Kheng as President: First Singaporean to lead the Executive Committee

MDRT has appointed Carol Kheng, ChFC, as the 99th President of the association’s Executive Committee. She is the first Singaporean to assume the role of President of the global organization’s leadership team.

Carol, a 26-year MDRT member and private wealth consultant with Prudential Assurance Company Singapore, will focus on strengthening the global network of MDRT professionals and celebrating member accomplishments as they continue to reach new heights of personal and professional success.

She succeeds 25-year MDRT member Gregory B. Gagne, ChFC, who transitioned to Immediate Past President on September 1. Bringing a fresh perspective on refining the global member experience, she is dedicated to building upon legacies set by past leadership, including Gagne’s impact.

In her new role, she sees herself as a representative for all members of the global association and will concentrate on ensuring they have the resources that best meet their needs, while expanding previously established initiatives — including a continued focus on holding purposeful and engaging inperson meetings.

Under Carol, MDRT will focus on tapping into its international network, allowing members to grow and learn at in-person events, promoting business growth and development. MDRT will continue to prioritise providing value to its global membership and pushing for increased
connectivity and engagement.

She said: “Since spearheading Prudential’s MDRT Club in 2005, I’ve witnessed the unparalleled growth members can gain through meaningful member interactions. During my presidency, MDRT will continue to hold spaces for members to network, engage with one another and learn unique, tailored techniques to propel their businesses further.”

With four Court of the Table and three Top of the Table qualifications, Carol has served in multiple roles on the MDRT Executive Committee since 2022. She attended her first MDRT Annual Meeting in San Francisco, California, USA, in 2000 and volunteered for the first time the following year after approaching the Program General Arrangements (PGA) booth. During the next two decades, she served as Chair for several committees and was the Divisional Vice President for Global Conference Program General Arrangements in 2019 and for MDRT’s Member Resources – Practice Management Division in 2009. She also has served on the Board of Trustees of the MDRT Foundation, for which she is a Diamond Knight. Throughout those experiences, Carol not only enriched her connection to MDRT but with other members she volunteered with and helped serve.

MDRT is governed by a five-member Executive Committee duly elected each year by the membership. The 2025 MDRT Executive Committee is as follows:

President: Carol Kheng, ChFC

Carol Kheng, ChFC, is the 2025 President of MDRT. She is a 26-year MDRT member with four Court of the Table and three Top of the Table qualifications. Kheng has served in multiple roles on the MDRT Executive Committee since 2022. She previously served as Divisional Vice President for Global Conference Program General Arrangements in 2019 and for MDRT’s Member Resources–Practice Management Division in 2009. Kheng also has served on the Board of Trustees of the MDRT Foundation, for which she is a Diamond Knight. Kheng is a master financial consultant with Prudential Assurance Company Singapore, where she was the founding member and chairperson of its MDRT Club.

Immediate Past President: Gregory B. Gagne, ChFC

Gregory B. Gagne, ChFC, is the 2025 Immediate Past President of MDRT. He is a 25-year MDRT member with 20 Court of the Table and 16 Top of the Table qualifications. Gagne has served in multiple roles on the MDRT Executive Committee since 2021. He previously served as Top of the Table Global Council Member and Advisory Board Chair in 2020 and as Program Development Division Global Council Member in 2019. He also has served on the Board of Trustees of the MDRT Foundation, for which he is an Excalibur Knight and a member of its Inner Circle Society. Gagne is the founder of Affinity Investment Group LLC, which provides wealth management and distribution-planning services.

First Vice President: John F. Nichols, MSM, CLU

John F. Nichols, MSM, CLU, is the 2025 First Vice President of MDRT. He is a 24-year MDRT member with 19 Court of the Table and 17 Top of the Table qualifications. Nichols served as Global Council Member of MDRT’s Membership Division in 2020 and Chair of its Bylaws and Ethics Committee in 2019. In 2022, he served as President of the MDRT Foundation, for which he is a Royal Order Excalibur Knight and a member of its Inner Circle Society. Nichols is president of Disability Resource Group Inc., an insurance agency that he founded in 1999. He also is a partner with Acrisure, a global fintech services provider.

Second Vice President: Clay Gillespie, CFP, CLU

Clay Gillespie, CFP, CLU, is the 2025 Second Vice President of MDRT. He is a 23-year MDRT member with 21 Court of the Table and 20 Top of the Table qualifications. An Excalibur Knight of the MDRT Foundation, Gillespie served as Global Council Member of MDRT’s Finance Division in 2023 and as Top of the Table Global Council Member and Advisory Board Chair in 2019. He was Captain of the 2015 MDRT Annual Meeting Focus Sessions Committee and has served as Chair of several committees in the Top of the Table Division. Gillespie is a financial advisor, portfolio manager and managing director with RGF Integrated Wealth Management.

Secretary: Aurora L. Tancock, CFP, FLMI

Aurora L. Tancock, CFP, FLMI, is the 2025 Secretary of MDRT. She is a 23-year MDRT member with 13 Court of the Table and four Top of the Table qualifications. Tancock served as Chair of the Focus Sessions Committee for the 2023 MDRT Global Conference and as Global Council Member for MDRT’s Finance Division in 2020. She also has served on the Board of Trustees of the MDRT Foundation, for which she is a Diamond Knight and a member of its Inner Circle Society. Tancock is the founder of Aurora Tancock Financial Services Inc.
