Registration for the 6th Annual World Financial Planning Day and CFP Conferment Ceremony 2022 organised by the Financial Planning Association of Singapore (FPAS) has closed due to an overwhelming response. Money Playschool is proud to be media partner.
Mr Kee Rui Xiong, Executive Director, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), will be giving the opening speech on the financial planning landscape in Singapore.
The event will also see a panel discussion consisting of industry leaders from the Banking, Insurance and Financial Advisory sectors sharing their views on how to recession-proof your finances.

About the Panelists at the FPAS 6th World Financial Planning Day
Ms Wong Sze Keed, CEO, AIA Singapore
As the CEO of AIA Singapore, Keed is responsible for overseeing and managing AIA’s operations in the market to champion the concept of healthier, longer, better lives for all Singaporeans. Sze Keed has about 30 years of experience in the financial services industry in Singapore and has held a broad range of senior management roles during her career.

Mr Ian Yim, Head of Distribution, HSBC
A seasoned banker, Mr Yim has been in the industry for over 20 years, of which 18 years were with HSBC. In HSBC Singapore, Mr Yim has held leadership roles across the Wealth and Personal Banking business. Prior to his appointment as Head of Distribution in 2021, Mr Yim was Head of Wealth and International.
As Head of Distribution, Mr Yim is responsible for all staff-assisted sales and service channels, including Branch Network, International Wealth Hub, Contact Centre, Direct Sales, Wealth Specialists and Bancassurance. One of his key responsibilities is to drive synergy across all staff assisted channels, enabling the bank to improve sales productivity and customer experience gains.
He holds a Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Banking and Finance from Nanyang Technological University.
Ms Lorna Tan, Head of Financial Planning Literacy, DBS
Lorna Tan is Head of Financial Planning Literacy at DBS Bank. Prior to joining DBS, she was the Invest Editor at The Straits Times covering finance and consumer protection issues. She has won numerous awards for excellence in financial reporting and public service journalism and is the author of four bestsellers: Money Smart-Own Your Financial Destiny, Retire Smart-Financial Planning Made Easy, More Talk Money and Talk Money. She is also an adjunct lecturer at NUS School of Business.
Mr Gary Harvey, CEO, St. James’s Place Wealth Management
Gary is the CEO of St James’s Place Wealth Management Singapore and is a seasoned leader in the insurance, investment, and personal advisory sector of the Asian Financial Services industry with in-depth experience at CEO and Board Director level. He has worked in the industry for more than 30 years, has been in Asia since 1995, and is a Singapore Citizen having lived here for over 19 years.
Gary is well known for his passion in improving professional standards in the financial advisory industry and is Vice President of FPAS and a regular contributor to the Press on Personal Financial advisory matters. He has an MBA from the Warwick Business School in UK and is a member of both the Singapore Institute of Directors and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mr Edy Hartono, Senior Financial Services Director, PIAS
Mr Hartono had a distinguished career with Great Eastern Life Company before joining Professional Investment Advisory Services Pte Ltd (PIAS) in 2005. He is currently a Senior Financial Services Director with PIAS, one of the largest, most respected and fastest growing networks of financial consultants in Singapore.
In February 2009, the then parent Company, one of the largest financial advisory firms in Australia, invited Mr Hartono to become a non-executive Director (From 2009 to 2022) of the licensed entity PIAS and the Holding Company, Professional Advisory Holdings Pte Ltd. Since that time, he has brought valuable insight and sound judgement to the business from his considerable experience in commerce and financial advisory practice.
Mr Hartono was appointed to the PIAS product steering committee, where his understanding of client needs assists in the onboarding of new products and services. This process is a valuable and necessary service to the over 900 advisers within the network of this award-winning FA (PIAS).
Mr Hartono was an Honorary Secretary with the Financial Planning Association of Singapore (FPAS) for the term 2017/2018. He also served as Chairman of Membership and Education with FPAS for the term 2015/2017. Mr Hartono is the President of FPAS for the term 2018/2019. He is a member of the Institute of Banking & Finance (IBF) Financial Planning Working Group for the term of 2018/2020.
Mr. Hartono is an alumnus of National University of Singapore.
Mr Wilfred Lim, Head of Strategy, Investment Solutions, PhillipCapital
Mr. Wilfred Lim is the Head of Strategy, Investment Solutions at PhillipCapital. With over ten years of experience, Mr Lim has previously worked at Maybank Securities and United Overseas Bank. Mr. Lim’s experience in wealth management includes managing a dealing desk, high-net-worth client portfolios and setting up licensed financial entities. He has been widely featured on Money FM 89.3. Mr Lim graduated from NUS with a Bachelor of Business Administration, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
