The voice of the financial advisory profession
Mr Ng Eng Beow, IFPAS President 2025/2026, said: “I am deeply honored to be re-elected as President of IFPAS for a second term. Over the past year, we have strengthened our role as the voice of the financial advisory profession, championing professional excellence, ethical standards, and continuous learning. Moving forward, we will deepen our commitment to elevating industry standards through key initiatives such as professional certification programs and strategic partnerships. Our focus remains on enhancing the credibility and expertise of financial practitioners, ensuring they are well-equipped to serve clients with integrity and professionalism.
“Beyond our association, IFPAS will continue to play a vital role in shaping the future of Singapore’s financial services industry. As regulatory expectations evolve and consumer trust becomes even more crucial, we will work closely with stakeholders to uphold high standards and advocate for policies that benefit both practitioners and clients. With the support of our dedicated members and partners, I am confident that we will strengthen our profession’s standing, empower financial practitioners, and reinforce public confidence in the industry.”
Building on a strong foundation
Mr Derrick Yip, President-elect 2025/2026, said: “As the newly elected President-elect of IFPAS, I am excited to contribute to the association’s continued growth. As we navigate an evolving financial landscape, my focus will be on strengthening collaboration across departments, enhancing member engagement, and driving initiatives that elevate the professionalism of financial practitioners. IFPAS has long been a pillar of support and advocacy for the industry, and I am committed to building on this strong foundation to ensure we remain at the forefront of positive change.
“One of the key initiatives I will continue to develop is the Trusted Financial Practitioner (TrFP®) Award, which I introduced last year during my tenure as Vice President for Public Relations. This award reinforces the highest standards of trust and integrity in our profession, and I look forward to expanding its reach and impact. Beyond that, I will work closely with the Council to enhance professional development programs, foster meaningful partnerships, and advocate for policies that benefit both practitioners and clients. Together, we will continue to strengthen IFPAS’s role in shaping a more trusted and forward-looking financial advisory industry.”
